Welcome to Winery Forster.

Our family has lived and worked in Rümmelsheim and Burg Layen at the Nahe for eight generations. We cultivate our vineyards organically. Out of deep conviction and always open to new methods we have been working since 1994 according to the organic guidelines of Ecovin - the federal association of organic wine producers.

The Nahe region is a wonderful piece of earth with lots of nature and a unique variety of soils. The climate throughout the cultivation region is settled, mild, and without much rain. This results in a longer ripening period for our grapes which in addition to the special quality of the soil and careful winemaking ensures the complex aromas of our wines.

NAHEWEINE

Our NAHEWEINE taste like only Nahe can taste: juicy, spicy, fine balanced and with a clear grape variety character.

ERDENWEINE

Our ERDENWEINE show the whole spectrum of different soils of our region. Sometimes powerful, elegant, spicy or subtly mineral.

LAGENWEINE

From specially selected plots we produce particularly distinctive wines. Microclimate, soil and the vintage influence whether a great wine can be made.

„Weingut Forster has farmed its vineyards organically ever since 1994. “We make our own compost; this ensures great nutrition for the vines and also helps us to capture carbon in the soil,” the family reports. They stand out with their maturitiy, balance and calmness, they are hamonious and serene while also showing depfh, like the Riesling Schlossberg.
